Martineau has been married to his loving wife, Sheilah, for 25 years.
As a polymath and an avid reader, Martineau's ability to retain and implement knowledge led him to expertly master multiple disciplines. He enjoyed developing new technology, and as a certified scuba diver, he invented D.U.C.S., a divers underwater communication system. He was also a registered HAM radio operator and an engineer. His career spanned several fields; he spent time as a partner in a clinical practice, where he was also a surgical Physician's Assistant (cardiac), before founding Martineau Gauda and Associates, a systems development company that pioneered real-time cellular fraud detection. He never stopped learning.
Of all his hobbies, he most enjoyed flying his Bonanza and driving classic cars. Martineau was a licensed private pilot and took pride in his instrument rating (the highest level of qualification for pilots).
He enjoyed quality time with his children and grandchildren, never missing an opportunity to impart his knowledge and wisdom to them. His family fondly remembers spending time fishing with him and sharing his love of Action and Sci-Fi films.
