Robert William Keck, age 75, of Swansea, Illinois passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2024. He was born on January 1, 1949, to the late William and Doris Keck. Preceding him in death are his dear wife, Patricia “Pat,” his grandparents, Edna and John Randle, John Sr. and Clara Keck, his brothers, Steven and Michael Keck, and a sister-in-law, Janet Keck.
He is remembered by his brother, Dave (Chris) Keck, and his nephews and nieces: Jason (Christina) Keck, Jared (Kimberly) Keck, Brian (Kelsey Arena) Keck, Blake (Melanie) Keck, Scott (Jaime) Keck, and Emily (John) Dohle, along with their children: Cameron, Carter, Lucy, Olivia, Sean, Lana, Aubrey, Mabel, and Henry, and his sister-in-law, Patty Keck. His step-daughters who will also miss him: Trisha (Ron) Clark and Angela Dawn (Larry) Ward; and his grandchildren: Katie (Renyuan) Ma, Jamie Clark, Alehandra Chlark, Vesela Clark, Ryan (China) Parris, Cassandra (Amanda Wright) Schmaltz, Alex (Alexa) Schmaltz, and their children: Anna, Finn, Zane, Lexi, Addie, Alexis, Grayson, Nova, and one great-granddaughter on the way. Bob adored his beloved cats, Oscar, Durango, and Tuxedo.
Bob was a lineman, a role he cherished, and his dedication to IBEW Local #309 for 55 years was unwavering. He was a proud contributor to his community as a member of the District Council in his local county. Bob's love for travel was evident in his trips with Pat, especially to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. He also enjoyed occasional golf trips with his buddies to Biloxi, Mississippi.
Bob's visitation will be held on Monday, September 9, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Lake View Funeral Home, 5000 North Illinois Street, Fairview Heights, IL 62208. Following the service at 12:00 PM, after the service, Bob will be laid to rest next to his beloved Pat at Lake View Memorial Gardens.
