Pat was a life-long volunteer for many organizations in St. Clair and Madison Counties, including the Life-Member Honor designation for Burnham City Hospital Auxiliary Service in Champaign, Il. She was a member of St. Henry’s Catholic Church, Belleville, Il., St. Clair Country Club and an avid golfer.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Gerald “Jerry” Spencer; her parents, Charles and Leona, nee Burtch, Weaver; a sister, Helen Streeper and a nephew, William “Bill” Streeper.
Surviving are her daughters, Nancy Spencer and Linda Spencer both of Belleville, Il., nieces, Judy Streeper of Jerseyville, Illinois, Patricia Streeper of Leawood, KS., and Deb Reid of Suffern,, NY, Nephews, Charles “Chuck” Streeper of Alton, Il., Mike Streeper of Tampa, Fl, and her cat, Babe.

“Pat Spencer was a loving and devoted wife and mother. Her beautiful face and kind loving nature were constant gifts not only to her family and many friends but to all who came in contact with her. To live in the hearts of those left behind is not to die. And so she remains forever close to us now.”

Visitation : Friends may call from 11:00-1:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Hgts, Il.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Lake View Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth York officiating. Interment will be held in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Hgts, Il.
