Marilyn loved her family and friends.  Her grandchildren grew up at First United Presbyterian and were actively involved in the youth programs.

Marilyn served on the board of our local Salvation Army and actively supported their programming for those in need.  She started the "bell ringing" mission at our church.  Her efforts have become an annual mission project for members of our church.

She was reliably witty and full of common sense.  We appreciate her energy and hope to follow her footsteps in advocating for others.

My name is Paula and Tim was my boyfriend all through our years at Georgetown. I spent A great deal of time with the Wiltsie family and got to know Marilyn  well. She was an amazing woman with quick wit and sharp intellect. She had an indomitable spirit and was not daunted by raising three feisty boys without her beloved husband, David.  

I have such wonderful memories of time spent with Marilyn and “ the boys” at Magnolia Drive. She could make me laugh like no other- what a sense of humor.

I also remember the fun we all had at Matawaka and  up in the Poconos at the Herman compound playing tennis and swimming in the pool with Mom Mom and Aunt Jean and the cousins. What a great family the Hermans were.  

Marilyn and I reconnected after Tim died. I was heartbroken at his passing and Marilyn and I would FaceTime a few times a year. She would talk to my kids, and she was happy to hear that each of my kids knew how important Tim was in my life.

Thank you, Marilyn, for raising such a wonderful son who was such an important part of my life, for so many years.

Georgetown Spring Break 1982- Tim, David, Marilyn and I took a trip to New Orleans to visit Jon in Tulane Law.

The Wiltsie Boys! Marilyn was one tough cookie, raising her boys on her own after losing her husband, David, Sr.

Jonathan and David I am so saddened to learn of your loss. I always enjoyed your Mom’s company -you could count on her to be honest and forthright and a little opinionated. She bore her sorrows with courage and grace. She will be missed.

Marilyn was a treasured friend of my mother, Sherry Landes. After my mother died, Marilyn and I would get together for breakfast once a month until COVID and my subsequent move from the area made that impossible. She fiercely loved her family and was a loyal and caring friend. Once, when I was a young teen, my mother and I were in a car accident; when we got out of the car, who was at the intersection also but Marilyn! It felt then and still does like God's provision of a friend when we most needed one. I hope she and my mom find each other in heaven. They will have a lot of catching up to do! I wonder if you can get Hardee's biscuits there. 

I am sending my heartfelt condolences. I will miss her dearly.
