Marilyn Elizabeth Ellis

Marilyn was born January 17, 1937 in O’Fallon, IL, the daughter of the late Elmer and Audrey (Boyce) Feltman.

Marilyn married Abram “Abe” Ellis June 5, 1954. They were able to celebrate their 68th wedding anniversary together at a dinner with their family. He preceded her in death on October 25, 2022.

Also preceding her in death were her parents; her son, Michael Ellis; her sisters, Betty (William) Dorsey and Karen Shewmaker; sister-in-law, Mondel (Frank) Steward; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Cheri Warhoover of O’Fallon; three grandchildren, Brian (Natalie) Huffman of Shiloh, Jennifer (Timothy) Pryor of O’Fallon and Ronald (Alana) Warhoover Jr. of O’Fallon; nine great-grandchildren, Brian (Maggie) Pryor of KS, Brandon Pryor of O’Fallon, Alaina (Tyler) Burlage of WY, Timothy Pryor Jr. of O’Fallon, Jaydon Dailey of O’Fallon, Ronald “Trey” Warhoover III of O’Fallon, Aaron Warhoover of O’Fallon, Hunter Huffman of Shiloh and Drake Huffman of Shiloh; two-great great grandchildren, Kolten and Bella Pryor of KS.

Marilyn and Abram enjoyed 15 years of being snowbirds in Lake Port, FL, where they made many close friends. When home in Illinois, Marilyn loved her weekly luncheons with the girls and her yearly luncheons with her co-workers from Elder-Emco, especially her dear friend, Kathy. She also enjoyed her Sunday card games with family and friends. Marilyn will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In accordance with both Abram and Marilyn’s wishes, cremated rites will be accorded under the direction of Lake View Funeral Home and a graveside service for them will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL with VITAS Hospice Chaplain Myra Gummersheimer officiating.
