Jodi Lynne Lorta, 52, of Ashland, IL, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2023. She was born May 29, 1970 in Kirkwood, MO to William H. Miles Sr. and Debra A. Lavnick nee Conner. Jodi had a passion for meeting new people and caring for others. She genuinely enjoyed sharing conversations and socializing with others, even if they were strangers. Family was most important to Jodi. She was very family oriented and always put them first. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all.
Survivors left to cherish her memory include her mother, Debra (Timothy) Lavnick; step-mother, Cindi Miles; daughters Alyssa Miles and Melana Greer; grandchildren, Kaidence, Annabelle, Sebastian and Kaleane; siblings, Patrick (Regina) Miles, Michael (Sharon) Miles, William (Lisa) Miles Jr., Rachael (Robert) Fields, Amy (Frank) Landry and Andrew J. Lavnick; life-long friend and companion, Gary Fisher. Jodi is preceded in death by her father, William H. Miles Sr.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 24, 2023 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm in Bisch Funeral Home, 2931 S. Koke Mill Rd, Springfield, IL 62711. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at 1:00pm in Lake View Funeral Home, 5000 N. Illinois St., Fairview Heights, IL 62208 with a visitation prior from 12:00pm until time of service. Interment to follow in Lake View Memorial Gardens. Per Jodi’s request, please wear purple to honor her life. Memorial contributions can be made to Rutledge Youth Foundation.
