Helen Marie Butler

Helen was born June 22, 1922 in East. St Louis, IL to Elza and Stella (Hughes) Hutchinson. She married Robert Butler in 1941; he preceded her in death in 1972.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Robert Paul; son, Keith Butler; her sister, Nina Pauline Watts; and granddaughter, Jayla Smith.

Helen is survived by her children, Diane Verner of Belleville, IL, Linda (Robert) Davinroy of Fairview Heights, IL and Ramona (Paul) Felsch of Tallahassee, FL; grandchildren, Kirk (Jeana) Verner, Stephanie (Philip) Tegtmeier, Joshua Neff, Teresa (Carl) Wasem, Beth Porter and Karen Butler; and great-grandchildren, Alex, Jadyn, Trey, Katherine, Abigail, Hannah, Morgan, Max, Caitlin, Emily, Jackson, Hunter, Lucas, Kelsey, Karley and Hank; and granddaughter-in-law, Melanie Verner.

Years ago, Helen worked in housekeeping at Sparta Hospital for 15 years. She devoted her life to her family as homemaker. She enjoyed decorating and keeping her house tidy, something her family fondly remembers. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Cremation rites have been accorded under the direction of Lake View Funeral Home in Fairview Heights, IL.
