Charles was a dedicated and devoted family man. He married the love of his life, Billie Black, on December 24, 1952. This union brought 4 children; Philip, Charles, Terry, and Kelly. Charles proudly served his country in the United States Army, during the Korean War. He worked as a skilled carpenter for most of his life. He loved baseball and was an avid St Louis Cardinals fan. He was also a man of integrity and faith, having been a long time member at Revive Church, in Collinsville. His most precious moments were those spent with his sons, grandchildren, and his family. He was a loving dad, grandpa, great grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Billie (nee Black) Creath, his son, Charles “Chuck” Creath, his grandson, Sean Lee Creath, his parents; Elmer and Alma (nee Johnson) Creath, and 2 siblings.
Surviving him are his sons: Philip “Phil” Creath, Terry Creath, and Kelly (Katherine Weyhaupt) Creath, his grandchildren: Robyn (Brian) Owens, Tammy Place, Tracy (Matthew) Bates, Emily (Chris) Arbogast, Ray Creath, Cory Creath, Valerie (Joe) Owen, Tyler Creath, and Peyton Creath, his great-grandchildren: Noah, Seth, Jordan, Ali, Liz, Brooke, Kailyn, Tyler, Darryn, Zachary, Chelsie, Lane, Savannah, and Lydia, 2 siblings, and a number of dear nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation: Family and friends may visit from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm, Saturday, January 5, 2019, at Lake View Funeral Home, located at 5000 N Illinois Street, Fairview Heights, IL 62208.
Funeral Services: Funeral Services will begin immediately following visitation at 1:00 pm, Saturday, January 5, 2019. Interment to take place at Lake View Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Fairview Heights, IL.
