Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Joseph and Carmella (Horta) Jardin she lived most of her life in Fairhaven. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church, Fairhaven.
Mrs. da Rosa was a secretary for St. Joseph’s School in Fairhaven for 20 years. She kept herself busy by being a member of the Red Hat Society and being a coordinator for a parent prayer network for missing children. Priscilla also enjoyed sending greeting cards to shut-ins at various nursing homes. She would later go to meet several of the grateful recipients upon entering Alden Court.
She is survived by her children, Mary Ann da Rosa and her fiancé Bruce Duarte of New Bedford and Linda Groundwater and her husband Paul of Queensland, Australia; a grandson, Andrew J. Reawater and his wife Anna; and her long-time companion, Thomas Mellen of Assonet.
Her funeral will be Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 8 a.m. in Waring-Sullivan Home at Fairlawn, 180 Washington St., Fairhaven followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, Main St., Fairhaven.
