Joyce Souza

Born in Dublin Ireland, a daughter of the late Michael and Elizabeth (Doyle) Burke she grew up there before moving to England where she met and married her husband, Alan.

Joyce worked at Titleist. She later went on to work for Oberon Company, gold plating fire fighter’s helmets.

Mrs. Souza was an avid doll collector. Joyce’s family would like to thank Sacred Heart Nursing Home, St. Michael’s Unity for their care and compassion over the last six years. They would also like to thank Community Nurse of Fairhaven for their loving care.

Joyce is survived by two sons, Ross Souza and his wife Gail of Lakeville and Dean Souza of Seattle, WA; two brothers, Michael Burke and his wife Deirdre of Corindi Beach, Australia and Kevin Burke and his wife Evelyn of Sydney, Australia; a sister in law, Sharyn Souza of New Bedford; two grandsons, Josh Rivet and his wife Sherry of Dartmouth and Michael Rivet of Plymouth; great grandchildren, Alyssa Rivet, Jaisin Rivet, Skylia-Rayne Rivet, Nykolas Rivet, and Meredith Rivet. She was the great grandmother of the late Trey A. Rivet.
