Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late David and Sarah (Smalley) Evans, she had been a lifelong area resident.
A graduate of New Bedford High School, class of 1943, she was a member of St. Martins Episcopal Church.
She worked at the Draft Board during World War II and Hemingway Brothers Trucking.
An avid Red Sox fan, Mrs. Price, enjoyed crocheting, crafting, and most of all loved spending time with her family. She left a warm and loving impression with everyone she met.
She is survived by three daughters; Donna Jacintho and her husband Leonard, Debra Los and her husband Paul all of New Bedford, Carolyn Almeida and her husband Turibio of Fairhaven, one son; Charles A. Price Jr. of Acushnet, one sister; Carole Jackson of Westport, thirteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by two sisters Gwendolyn Ramshead and Edna Farrow.
Her Funeral will be held on Thursday, November 3 , 2016 at 10 AM in St. Martins Episcopal Church, 136 Rivet St. New Bedford. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Wednesday from 6 to 8 PM in the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Fairlawn, 180 Washington St., Fairhaven. Contributions in her honor may be made to St. Martin’s Episcopal Church, 136 Rivet St., New Bedford,MA 02744. Burial in Cushing Cemetery, Mattapoisett.
