Glenn D. Gardner, 64, passed away peacefully at home after a short battle with ALS Saturday, May 30, 2020. He was the beloved husband of Paula (Goulet) Gardner, they would have been married 42 years June 30th.
Born in Winchester, MA, the son of Doris (Shulkey) Gardner and the late Robert Gardner of Mattapoisett, MA.
Glenn was a highly respected teacher and coach. His teaching career spanned over 30 years, 2 states and 3 school districts. What made his teaching career special was his opportunity to coach. He coached girl’s field hockey, basketball and softball throughout Westport, Mattapoisett and Fairhaven.
In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by his son, Joseph “Blake” Gardner and his wife Christie of North Dartmouth; his daughter, Marissa A. Gardner of Fairhaven; his sister, Karen Ogg of Wareham; his brother, Peter Gardner and his wife Fabi of West Yarmouth; two cherished grandchildren, Madison and Mila Gardner; and two nephews, Andrew Holmes and Noah Gardner.
His Funeral Mass will be Saturday, June 6, 2020 at 10a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, Main St., Fairhaven, MA 02719. LIMITED ATTENDANCE.
