Mary Stowe Boyd

Mary Stowe Boyd (79) of Alexandria, Virginia passed away quietly on August 24th following a prolonged illness. She attended Duke university where she earned a degree in English in 1966. She spent her entire career on Capitol Hill working for the Department of the Interior and the Senate Steering Committee. A member of the Belle Haven Country Club, she greatly enjoyed golfing and travel She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Theodore and Annie John Boyd of Greensboro, NC, and her brother Edwin Cannon Boyd of La Jolla, Ca. She is survived by her cousins Marjorie Dunn of Winterville, NC, Joel Dunn of Chapel Hill, NC, Susan Dunn of Raleigh, NC and Dru Stowe of Smithfield, VA A memorial service will be held a Greenwood Cemetery in Belmont, North Carolina at a later date.
