Joanne Gladys Moore

Born at Mitchell Air Force Base, Long Island, NY on July 2, 1950, she was the daughter of Richard Moore of Thomaston, ME and Helene M. Neubauer Moore of New York, NY. Born into an Air Force family, she lived in several states and Germany, twice, by the age of 17.

Joanne was educated at Boston University in Boston, MA where she attained her Bachelors Degree and then she went on to attended the University of Mary Washington Continuing and Professional Studies where she earned a Masters Degree in Business.

She made a career of working for non-profit organizations where she could help the underserved. She had a special place in her heart for her cats; Rockette is now part of a family where she is loved and cared for, at a home in Virginia.

Joanne will be sadly missed by all who loved her.

Predeceased by her parents, her daughter Erin Wade Brown, of Fredericksburg, VA and a brother, Richard Moore, of Westborough, MA; Joanne is survived by her brother Robert Moore and his wife Elizabeth of Westborough, MA; a sister Darlene Rytter of Centreville, VA; a sister Sandra Moore of Thomaston, ME; a granddaughter Raegan Brown and grandson Sean Brown both of Beaver Falls, PA and loving nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews; as well as a wonderful support network of loving care-givers.
