Heather Deanne Riley

At the age of only 51, Heather Deanne Riley passed away in Fairfax, Virginia.
She was the beloved daughter of the late Alda Elizabeth Riley and is survived by her
father, James Russel Riley and stepmother, Sharon Nielsen Riley. Heather is survived
by her sister Monica Luciann Hoybach (Ricky); brothers Scott Jason Riley (Phaneth)
and Eric James Riley (Tiffany); seven cousins: Steve Dodge, Thom Dodge, Andrea
Payne-Helton, Jeremy Payne, Kevin Riley and John Riley; and seven nieces and
nephews: Riley Hoybach, Olivia Hoybach, Ivy Hoybach, Jack Riley, Soriya Riley, Lincoln
Riley and Maddalena Riley.
Born in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, Heather grew up in the surrounding suburbs of
Washington, DC. As a child and the eldest of four children, Heather adored her siblings
and strived to teach them well. As an adult, she was blessed with a successful career,
an abundance of friends and many cherished nieces and nephews. Heather adored her
nieces and nephews as they brought tremendous joy into her life. She loved watching
them grow and would spoiled them to no end. She had a passion for the fine arts
including music, dancing, fashion and travel--all of which brought beauty and happiness
into her life. Heather had a successful career at both NIH and Freddie Mac, securing
stability for her abundant life. May we plant sunflowers as a loving reminder of her
bright, loving and kind spirit.
Memorial services will be held in the near future. Memorial donations may be made to
