Joyce A. Speck Miracle age 84 of Shelbyville IN, formerly of Fairborn, Xenia, and West Portsmouth OH, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, November 6, 2024. She was born August 11, 1940, a daughter of the late Harry and Hazel Speck. A graduate of Portsmouth West High School, Joyce married Robert G Miracle and together they raised 2 awesome children. She didn’t eat meat but wasn’t a vegetarian. She loved her Taco Bell, chips, dessert, and her Diet Pepsi. Lord help the person who let her run out of Diet Pepsi. Pepsi, if you are wondering why your sales are down, look no further. She was a WARRIOR - a 3-time cancer survivor along with many other illnesses that could kill the average human. Her grandson is sure she had dragon blood. Throughout all her battles, she would always say she had no pain. We give credit to Diet Pepsi for keeping her going for as long as she did. She looked like Mrs. Claus and people would talk about how sweet she was, but born a natural redhead she could turn into a spitfire with a blink of eye. In addition to her parents and her husband Robert, she is preceded in death by brothers, Eugene Speck, Lonnie Freymuth, and Norman Speck as well as sister Thelma Nichols. Survivors include daughter Crystal Thomas (Mike), son Danny Miracle, her favorite grandson Robert Thomas, and sisters Barbara Curtis, and Juanita Speck. On Friday, November 15, 2024, family will greet friends at Burcham Tobias Funeral Home in Fairborn, Ohio from 10:00am - 12:00pm followed by a graveside service at 12:30pm at Byron Cemetery also of Fairborn, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (bcrf.org) or the American Heart Association (www.heart.org)
