Edward enlisted in the Air Force after high school as an aircraft mechanic. He served eighteen months in Vietnam with the 310th Air Commando Squadron. After separating from the Air Force he worked for General Motors for thirty years. He always enjoyed working with his hands and was an avid woodworker. He loved hunting and fishing.
Aside from his loving parents, Edward is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Sexton; his five brothers and sisters, Earl, Mary, Donna, Pat, Wayne.
He is survived by two loving children, Bryan (Tamara) Haught and Vicki (Bobby) Hutchinson; his five grandchildren, Cory, Cody, Maya, Rowan, Graeme; and one great grandchild, Madison; his sister, Carol Alley. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and close friends.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Hospice of Dayton for the excellent care that Edward and his family received.
A private service will be held at a later date.
