Passed away September 15, 2011 after a relatively short battle with heart disease. She was born in Thawville, Illinois and moved to Chicago, Illinois where she met her first husband, John Janov. Daughters, Joyce and Barbara were born in Chicago but the family moved to Sacramento in 1956. She worked for 25 years at Weinstock's Country Club Plaza, where she had many wonderful friends. After the death of her first husband, she met and married Al Wagner, owner of Diamondhead Golf, and moved to Rancho Murieta where she spent many happy years enjoying her family and all of the great people she met in the golf business. She and Al loved to travel, especially to Hawaii. 'Nanny' was a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother and will be missed by all of her family and 'extended family'. She is preceded in death by daughter, Joyce Rodriguez and husbands, John and Al. A rosary will be said for her on Thurs. Sept. 22 at Mt. Vernon Mortuary, 8201 Greenback Ln (viewing 4-6 pm, Rosary 6 pm). A funeral mass will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23, Divine Savior Catholic Church, 9079 Greenback Ln. Graveside services will follow at Calvary Cemetery, 7101 Verner Ave., Sac. Reception at Kassel home.
