Robert Clell Sedgwick died on Monday, October 30, 2023. Sandra Sizemore, his wife of 57 years, was by his side when he passed. Bob is survived by his children Emily Sedgwick (David Aguilar) and their children Lauren and Aidan, Sarah Juarez (Vince) and their children Ben, Daniel and Grace, and Rob Sedgwick (Victoria) and their children Reese and Chase. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert, his mother Betty Jo and his brothers Greg and David Sedgwick. He is survived by his sisters Rebecca Cokonougher and Gina Black, and brother Evan Sedgwick.
Bob was a general contractor and built schools and hospitals in Ohio and restaurants and homes in California. He hit the limit on the amount of contractor license types you can achieve in the state of California. He was a proud Air Force Veteran.
Beyond the amazing love he had for his wife, family and friends we gathered a list of the other things he loved. They include: Holding babies, Christmas Tree lights, basketball, road trips, playing stick your neighbor card game, black coffee, cracking jokes with his brothers and sisters, drinking cola without ice, waiting until Christmas Eve to Christmas shop, pecan pie, corvettes, sunbathing in a pool for hours, flying his airplane, whistling, yelling at referees, bragging about his grandkids’ achievements, telling you where to park, telling you how to load a dishwasher, napping sideways on the bed, long walks, cashews, watching his grandkids play sports, doing construction on his kids houses without permission, being called “Poppa Pig” by his grandkids, humming while he walked, giving raspberry kisses, button down shirts, picking up his grandkids in his neon green car, watching Family Feud, sitting at the head of the table at the holidays, riding bikes through the forest near his house with his grandkids and holding hands.
Services are planned to be held at Millcreek Church in Raymond, Ohio on July 20, 2024. More details provided at a later date.
