1953, to Glenn and Dorothy Williams. After their divorce, Dorothy married Bert Franzon,
who adopted “Becki” as she was called in those days. Rebbecca was a person who was
full of life and loved adventure. She was a thrill seeker, completing 16 sky dives! She
was always up for a board game, a round of darts, bowling, a concert, or a play. She
loved the Sacramento Jazz Festival and went faithfully every year. She loved scary
movies and it was a blast to watch them with her because she screamed out loud! She
loved to travel and experience new things. She was particularly excited to visit
Amsterdam, Germany and Paris. She loved the holidays (especially her birthday).
Rebbecca adored her family, and was always willing to lend a helping hand when
anyone needed it. She was particularly fond of doing DIY projects in her house, and
was completely tenacious about learning to do even the toughest home repairs.
Rebbecca had a great sense of humor and regularly made the people around her crack
up with her antics. She was known as Reb, Auntie Becca, 2Bs2Cs, and most recently
Auntie 2Bs. She retired from the City of Sacramento in 2018. Rebbecca is survived by
her children, Amber Shea and Paul “Erik” Nelson, one granddaughter, three grandsons,
three sisters, one nephew and three nieces, as well as many cousins and friends. She
was preceded in death by her twin sister, Barbara Youel. Rebbecca’s family will be
celebrating her life on what would have been her 70thbirthday, June 16, 2023. To be
