Passed away on May 3rd 2017, in the loving arms of her daughters, Janice and Jackie, and granddaughter Victoria. Survived by her daughters; Janice (Ron), Jackie (Robert), Grandchildren; Victoria Lopez Brown (Steve) Mark (Ann), Steven Damron, Bryon and Shannon Steward, and Tami O’Malley, 13 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren, and her dear friend Alice. Preceded in death by her parents Francisco and Victoria Prieto, 13 brothers and sisters, and her beloved son Alan and her dear friend Lynn. Born in San Francisco, March 15, 1929, she and her husband Cleo moved to Rocklin, California to raise their family in the country, she had a deep love for animals and enjoyed anything that had to do with horses. She enjoyed going to parades, shopping and going out to eat, she decided at the age of 40 to enroll into the police Academy and becoming a Police officer, which she was very proud of. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was always telling a good joke and laughing. She loved her little cottage in the hills where she had lived the past 14 years with her daughter Janice and Son-in-Law Ron, whom she cherished, and also her pet deer “Willow”, and all the other wildlife she loved so much. Lastly her constant companion, her cat Garfield.
Knowing she is now at peace and lives with her son Alan, it gives us all comfort that she is with the Lord. Please join us on May 16th at 11:00 as we lay our mother to rest at Mount Vernon Memorial Park.
