Mark, I think about you often. You were one of my best friends on the "Bonnie Dick!" It was fun working with you and sharing laughs on liberty. I just wish the cemetery would correct your headstone and change that "C" to an "O" on your Navy rating. We both know you were an Aviation Ordnanceman (AO3)and NOT an Air Controlman (AC3). The typewriter that filled out your DD-214 on the ship had a worn out "O".  I moved to WA last month. I did visit your grave on my drive from SoCal to WA. Best wishes to your family. I will miss many things about you: your phone calls to shoot the breeze, your patience in teaching me to drive, your skill in raising Christie and your love for Emma.

  Papa I love you so much!!! Why did you have to go. At least you can eat all the candy you want. My Papa can also get the biggest T.V in the galaxy.I miss my Papa very much. He was a loving,caring,and awesome Papa.I wish he could be here with us,but I know he is.I also know me and my mom,my dad,and my whole family will miss him deaply,but will know he's not in pain. Mark, I am grateful for our time together both growing up and especially for the last year. There are so many great memories that I have to keep you close by. I won't forget all that you did for me; all that you did raising Christie and all that you were for your grandaughter Emma. Rest in peace and remember that when we meet again it's your turn to buy breakfast.

Dear Dad,  Where do I begin.  Laugh at all the moments we created as I grew up.  Cringe at all the times I got in trouble growing up.  Cry at the many more moments we still needed to have together.  I'm the luckiest daughter in the world to have had such an amazing, strong, big hearted father like you.  You raised me to be happy, independent and to be the best that I can be.  Emma is the luckiest granddaughter in the world have such a proud Papa who adored her so dearly.  Two peas in a pod is the best way I could describe the both of you.  I pray that your spirit continues to be with her as she grows in life.  I see so much of you in Emma.  Some of her comments, the way she thinks things through and don't forget a sprinkle of stubbornness too.  Thank you for being a father to Stephan.   I know Stephan has a great deal of respect for you and loves you with all of his heart.  Dad my heart hurts right now but I know over time that pain will heal.
