Eddy Wesley Howard
Eddy Wesley Howard passed away unexpectedly on July 5, 2018, at his home in Carmichael, California with his loving and devoted wife by his side.
Eddy was born on September 3, 1946, in San Rafael, California. He grew up with his three siblings, Jim Howard, Tom Howard, and Diana Samonek. He is preceded in death by his father, Arthur W. Howard and his mother, Doris M. Howard.
He worked at Howard Van Lines, his family’s moving business until he was drafted in the United States Army to fight in the Vietnam war. He served from 1964-1967. Upon his return to the States, he continued working in his family's moving business until the business was sold and his parents retired. He then accepted a position working for Capitol Plywood as a truck driver delivering building products. He would retire from Capitol Plywood in 2011 after over thirty years of service.
He met the love of his life, Sharon Crabtree and the two were married September 23, 1967, in Sacramento, California. He and his wife had two children, Michael and Karie, and raised them in a beautiful home in Carmichael, California.
He was also blessed with seven wonderful grandchildren. Nathaniel, Deanna, Ryan, Jennifer, Zachary, Owen, and Levi.
He adored his family and they were always his top priority. Eddy loved muscle cars and the classics. He was the biggest kid and jokester that couldn't wait to get a laugh out of someone. You could always find him in his garage working on a project, chatting with his children, on his i-pad, or playing with his grandchildren.
After he retired he devoted his time to fixing cars, having fun with his grandchildren teaching them how to play pool, checkers, solitaire, and giving them rides on the tractor mower, swinging them from the tree swing in his front yard, and giving them rides on his motorized scooters.
He will be missed by all of us more than words could ever describe.
Visitation Services will be held on July 19, 2018 from 4:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m.
