Christopher "Chris" Graham Ross, age 48, of Orangevale, California passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2023. Chris was born in Sacramento, California to Carroll Ross and Donna (Graham/Ross) Vinks. July 1998, Chris married Erin Gregson, they met working at the Old Spaghetti Factory in Rancho Cordova, CA. 14 years later they divorced and he spent the last 7 years in a relationship with Margie Henry.
Chris graduated from Bella Vista High School in Fair Oaks 1993. He started his apprenticeship in 1995 and completed the WECA Electrician Journeyman Program in 2000. He developed skills to achieve multiple reputable titles such as a Foreman, Estimator, Project Manager, Vice President, and Owner in several companies in the commercial, industrial, and residential markets. His roles varied and most recently included being a Value Stream Manager and Manufacturing Manager for the solar and commercial construction division of Rex Moore.
In addition to Chris' accomplishments he authored curriculum and constructed the first motor control lab for the Western Electrical Contractors Association. His input included writing lessons published by McGraw Hill. He also served on the WECA curriculum, committee for 14 years and on the Board of Directors of Western Electrical Contractors Education fund for 10 years.
Outside of Chris' work he enjoyed coaching his boys' baseball teams, hunting, fishing, collecting antiques, books, whittling, collecting knives, magic, and gold panning. Chris enjoyed being in nature on his own, or with those he loved. Chris was a wonderful father with a loving nature that complimented his rebel streak. He had a different sense of humor and a talent to make everyone laugh. If anything he would want to be remembered as a devoted family man.
Chris is survived by his two sons Jacob Ross and Nathan Ross, his mother Donna Vinks and stepfather Michael Vinks, his sister Patricia Nissen (Gary), his brother Matthew Vinks (Jaime), his nephews Will Grundy and Daniel Vinks, and his Nieces Megan Grundy, Emily and Victoria Vinks.
