I just found about Anthony’s passing - I knew him in college when we taught health education classes to Boston high schoolers, and he was so kind and thoughtful. His quiet leadership inspired me & I always loved getting to see him. I’m so sorry for your loss and for all of our losses. He already accomplished so much, and I am lucky to have known him. I wish your family peace 🖤

I still cannot believe that Anthony has left us. He was one of the first friends that I made in college -- during a pre-orientation program for incoming Harvard College students to explore issues around social justice. Later, we would spend our college years doing global HIV advocacy side-by-side; all the while struggling through pre-med classes. I have always been in complete awe of "Tony", as I always called him -- his brilliance, his elegance, his eloquence, the excellence with which he approached everything.  Forever impressed by his intelligence, he was also an amazing and generous friend. I will forever be grateful for the time he poured into reviewing and editing my personal statement for medical school. For him reaching out and including me on a publishing opportunity. For checking in on me through this tortuous journey that is medical school. Tony was already, and was bound to continue to be, a FORCE in the field of medicine. His work has already made waves for the people that he was so dedicated to serve. I can only hope that collectively we can continue to propel his mission, his name, his legacy.

It was great to know you, Anthony-- your heart to help fellow filipinos, and your passion to make a difference. I thank God for the wonderful conversations. May the heavens bless your soul...

Anthony was really such a treasure of a human being -  in the time I knew him at HIPS he made a huge positive impact on the processes that help house vulnerable people. He was such a pleasure to be in the same room as, and I learned so much from him. May his memory be a blessing

My deepest condolences to the Alamzan family, I am deeply saddened to see the news of Anthony passing. Some years ago Anthony and I worked together in DC, he was always very kind to me and it was a highlight to be able to speak to him whenever worked slowed down enough to allow us a chance to talk! 

Even though I did not know Anthony well I remember how brightly he smiled and how fun he was to talk to. We worked hectic jobs often tinged by sadness or pain or upset from people in crises- someone who can be bright and kind and fun, who can still send you away feeling that brightness even through moments like that is a once-in-a-lifetime kind of person. 

I hope the memories you have of Anthony keep you warm. I will be thinking of you and Anthony and keeping you on my mind. May his memory be a blessing. 

I am utterly heartbroken to hear of Anthony's passing. I was lucky enough to meet Anthony through GHC and he made such an impression on me. Anthony was just a beacon of light, kindness, warmth, and fun, but he was also extraordinarily smart and committed to making the world a better place. Please accept my most heartfelt condolences. Take good care and know that Anthony will be remembered and deeply missed by so many around the world. 

I was extremely heartbroken to hear about Anthony's death. Anthony was a pre-med advisee of mine in Currier House at Harvard, and then I had the pleasure of working with him as a colleague when he joined us as a non-resident premed tutor. As an advisor, he was caring, compassionate, wise, and supportive. As a medical student and scientist he was brilliant and hard-working, using science to advocate for vulnerable and marginalized populations. His death is a significant loss for the world. My condolences to his family and friends.

Anthony was a treasured member of the Global Health Corps (GHC) community since joining our fellowship program in 2016. At GHC we often say "Once a fellow, always a fellow." Anthony touched many lives with his warm presence and his fierce passion for health equity, and the memory of him and the mark he left will live on within the GHC community. We are grateful to have known him and share our sincerest condolences with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed. 

Dearest Angel Anthony🙏It breaks my heart that you were taken from us so unexpectedly. I am sure your family will need your guidance as they navigate unimaginable pain and grief, and I can only hope we all find some comfort knowing you are now in God’s hands. I am so heartbroken to hear of Anthony's death. Anthony was a student in my class last Spring. He was such a warm presence in our class, even as much of it was remote; his contributions unfailingly insightful, he brought a gently brilliant spirit to all of our discussions. I was shocked and saddened to hear of Anthony's passing. 
Anthony and I met during our Global Health Corps Fellowship year, and I had the pleasure of being in the company of his kindness and intellect. 
Following the fellowship, I was happy to see Anthony continue his endeavors as an advocate and medical student; no doubt, he has had an impact on our lives and community, and I am grateful for his efforts.

I am deeply sad to hear about Anthony's passing. I was so lucky to meet Anthony when I was starting my Global Health Corps fellowship and he was beginning his first year of medical school. We were paired together to run the GHC table at a Harvard career fair, and met up before to get to know another at a coffee shop he liked in Boston. We had the best afternoon talking about GHC, our career aspirations, and shared passion for health equity. He was one of those people who instantly made others feel at ease, and engaged with everyone with so much kindness - he did this tirelessly with every student who spoke with us that day.  It was so obvious to me what a special person Anthony was, and what an amazing impact he would have in the world as a future physician and public health leader. I felt honored to joining the same community as him, and so admired what a natural leader he was. His life being cut short is a huge tragedy, and my heart goes out to his family and friends during this time.  Thank you Anthony for the impact you've had on the world, and on all of us - you will be deeply missed.

It is heartbreaking to hear of the death of Anthony. He sincerely had one of the simplest personas to handle. I lived and worked with him for a year in DC as global health corps fellows and I have many fond memories of him (from metro/bus rides to and fro work, to buying donuts on our commute back home...etc). I appreciate the time I got to know him and spend with him while he lived. I’ll miss him dearly.

I am so shocked and saddened to hear of Anthony's passing. He was a remarkable person. I had the pleasure of supervising Anthony's work during his tenure as a Global Health Corps fellow, and while his brilliance was obvious enough at the outset, I was continuously impressed with the depth of his compassion, earnestness, and determination. He improved the lives of hundreds of people while we worked together, and I was proud to see him continue his passion to better the world at Harvard Medical School. He really was a light in this world, and he will be dearly missed. My condolences to his family and friends.

I am so sad to hear of Anthony's untimely passing. It is so tragic to see such a brilliant life cut short. Anthony left such a positive mark on the world and everyone around him was left better for it. I knew Anthony from our time together during the Global Health Corps Fellowship and I admired his incredible intellect, commitment to health and equity and his ability to set and achieve whatever goals he set for himself. Anthony was truly one of the smartest and genuine people I had ever met. He was my sophomore year roommate and I felt truly felt lucky to know him.  He really wanted to make the world a better place and he did in his  27 years. I was so proud to see him achieving his dreams and attending HMS and also getting a masters in Public Health. Anthony was a brilliant and bright light in this world. I am so sorry to his family. And I am sorry the world lost such a positive, sweet, and caring soul. 

It was such a shock to hear of Anthony’s passing. While it has been a number of years since we last crossed paths, I still think of his warm smile and wit when I reflect on those times. My condolences to the Almazan family.

I am very sorry to hear of Anthony's passing. I was his pre-med advisor and worked with Anthony on his medical school application process, and we would check in periodically so he could keep me abreast of all the amazing things he was up to. I cannot imagine there being a single person in the entire world who knew Anthony and was not immensely proud to be connected to him. He was a special, smart, and deeply disciplined and committed person. Almazan family, if I can be of any support to you please do not hesitate to contact me. This is a great loss for all of us but we can seek consolation in remembering every great deed Anthony did while he lived. He truly did so much.
