Patrick “Packy” F. Egan (86) passed peacefully at home early Tuesday morning February 23, 2021. Packy was born in Chicago on April 3, 1934. He grew up with his older sister Dolores (Egan) Hoople and his brothers Eddie, Jerry, Emmett, and Tom. Packy was a former Marine who served during the Korean War. After his service, he spent decades working for the Chicago water department as well as bartending at Gloria’s Alibi and the Martinique. Packy loved spending time watching his favorite sports teams the Bears, White Sox, and Notre Dame. He is survived by his children Patrick (Lisa) Egan, Kelly Peterson (nee Egan) and Michelle Egan, and his grandchildren Max and Reilly Egan, and Joseph, Lori, and Dennis Wilson.
A visitation will be held on Friday February 26, 2021 at Kenny Brother Funeral Directors from 4:00P.M. until 8:00P.M with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow Saturday February 27, 2021 at 10:30A.M at Most Holy Redeemer 3650 W. 96th Street Evergreen Park, Interment Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery Alsip, IL.
