Youa Her Lor was born on July 1st, 1950, in the village of Pho Kham, Laos. He was 1 of 6 children (Yee, Cher Ker, Chue, Thoj, & Cha Doua) and 2nd eldest son to Wa Yee Lor and Tru Cha.
Youa Her would soon marry the love of his life, Ka Ying Cha, in the village of Phonhong, Laos. They will go on to have 12 children (Seng, Cheng, Koua, Sheng, Xa, Fue, Shoua, Sai, Lao, Cher, Neng, and John) and 26 grandchildren.
Youa Her came to the United States of America on December 19th, 1988, and settled in Washington State for the remainder of his life. Leaving everything behind in Laos, he brought his family to America with nothing but hopes and dreams. Doing what he loves and knows best, he and his wife will go on to start their own farming business in 1995. Purchasing their first home in Bothell Washington, in 2001.
Those of us who were fortunate to know Youa Her and/or blessed to be raised by him, knew that his life was the true definition of “The American Dream” and “The Pursuit of Happiness”. He lived and breathed working to provide for his family. Words can’t explain the love and sacrifice he has made for his family. He is the father figure that we all strive to become one day.
Youa Her passed away on April 27th, 2023, surrounded by his family and friends. He is with his father (Wa Yee), mother (Tru), sister (Yee), brother (Cher Ker), (4) sons (Seng, Cheng, Xa, and Fue), and daughter (Sheng). Even though he’s not physically here, his spirit will always be with us.
Until we meet again…we love and miss you dearly!
