Russell Andrew Sinnott

Russell Andrew Sinnott, age 64, of Everett, Washington, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 due to complications related to multiple myeloma and infections that his body was unable to overcome. Russell was born April 2, 1956, in Albany, Oregon, to Roy J. Sinnott and Frances R. (Edwards) Sinnott.

In 1962 Russell moved to Seattle, Washington, with his family at the age of 6. He was actively involved in Little League baseball and football and enjoyed photography and music. Russell graduated from Roosevelt High School class of 1974. In 1975 he met his wife Carlene while both were working on the Seattle waterfront on the conversion of navy ship USS Tracer to the barge Unisea.

In July of 1975 Russell and Carlene moved to Unalaska, Alaska, to process fish on the barge Unisea. In 1977 Russell and Carlene were married; and spent 43 happy years together. Russell and Carlene had two children, and the family resided in Unalaska, Alaska, from 1975-2002. Between 1975 and 1987 Russell worked in the seafood industry for Universal Seafoods and Trident Seafoods as Foreman, Assistant Plant Manger, Production Manager, and Plant Manager. Between 1987 and 1999 Russell worked for Western Pioneer Family of Companies as Director of Marketing, Bulk Fuel Terminal Manager and Operations Manager. Between 1999 and 2002 he worked for North Pacific Fuel as the Fuel Terminal Manager. Russell was a proud member of and advocate for the community of Unalaska. He was a founding member of the Aleutian Slow-pitch Association and the Ballyhoo Lions Club. He served on the Unalaska City Council, Planning and Zoning Commission, Unalaska/Dutch Harbor Chamber of Commerce, Local Emergency Planning Commission and Alaska Fish & Game Advisory board as well as on many other committees in the community.

In 2002 Russell and his wife Carlene relocated to Everett, Washington, where he began working as a realtor. Russell retired in 2014. In 2016 he underwent a stem cell transplant to combat multiple myeloma. Russell enjoyed his beautiful backyard, barbecuing while listening to his favorite tunes, watching Seahawks and Mariners games, as well as attending local concerts with cherished family and friends and most importantly he loved being with his four beautiful granddaughters.

Russell was preceded in death by his parents and brother Norman Sinnott. Russell is survived by his wife Carlene (Carlquist) Sinnott, his son Justin (Trisha) Sinnott his daughter Kirstin (Peter) Sinnott Gerber; grandchildren Aspen Sinnott, Hannah Gerber, Capri Sinnott and Elise Gerber; and siblings Larry Sinnott and Barb Sinnott.
