The world lost a precious son, brother, father, nephew, uncle and dear friend when Louis Edward Nichols-Misner Junior of Everett, Washington unexpectedly passed away, in the early morning hours of August 12th 2020. He was 29 years old.
Louie Jr. was born in Seattle, Washington to the union of his parents, Claudia & Louis Edward Nichols Senior. At 8 years old, the family moved to Everett. Louie Junior (also known as “Bubba” to his family or “Junior” to his friends) graduated high school in Everett.
After graduation, he worked for a few years in many different fields, then went to the Job Corps to become a Carpenter. Louie Jr. became an apprentice in the Carpenter’s Union and learned this trade well – advancing into his 5th year apprentice.
Personally, Louie Jr. battled with drug and alcohol addiction and an accidental overdose is what ultimately took his life. He worked hard to overcome these addictions by becoming a member of both AA & NA, where he received great support and made many friends who were also in recovery. Louie Junior believed in a higher power and this helped with both his determination and drive to never give up on his own recovery. He always said what was on his mind and he was not afraid to express himself and call people out, if they needed it.
Louie Junior lived with a few roommates, that he was very close to and they were always there for each other in support.
The biggest blessings in Louie Junior’s life were his 2 children, Evelyn & Emmett. Louie Junior and his girlfriend, Nicole Meacham had their daughter Evelyn in 2016 and their son Emmett in 2018. And these children meant the world to Louie Junior – he loved them both very much.
Louie Jr. lovingly referred to his step-mother as “mama Debbi” and his step-sisters as his “sissy’s”.
Louie Junior was kind, tender-hearted and sweet. And he had a huge smile, that extended from ear to ear. A few of his favorites included the Green Bay Packers football team, gaming, making music, eating pizza and going to the race track with his father every weekend to watch him race.
Louie Junior said that those trips to the race track were the best times in his life – and his father will cherish these memories as well as their morning coffee together and their “head bumps”, which they lovingly shared in place of hugs.
And “mama Debbi” will miss Louie Junior’s amazing, radiant smile and the fact that he never gave up on trying to do better.
Louie Junior was preceded in death by his grandmother, Shirley Nichols and his mother, Claudia Nichols.
He is survived by:
• His dad – Louis Nichols Sr. and step-mother, Debbi Nichols
• His siblings – Allyn Misner, Emily (Danny) Callahan, Whitney (Greg) Burton, Michele (Tim) Peterson and Crystal Perry
• His children – Evelyn & Emmett
• As well as many nieces & nephews and the rest of his extended family and many friends.
This is a very sad loss for all of Louie Jr.’s loved ones, who will treasure him in their hearts, forever.
Louie Jr. will be cremated and his ashes brought home by his family. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, one the current restrictions have been lifted so all of his family and friends can join together in celebrating Louie Jr.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Recovery Cafe at 2624 Rockefeller Avenue Everett, WA 98201 in Louie Jr.’s honor.
