Donna Jean Hauck

Donna was born on August 30, 1939 in Everett, Washington. She grew up in the greater Snohomish County area, and graduated from Snohomish High School in 1957. In 1958, she married Gordon Hauck, and they remained happily married until his passing in 2004. After first married, she lived in Fort Eustis, Virginia and Fort Richardson, Alaska, while her husband Gordy served in the US Army, and then Everett, Washington for the remainder of her life, able to reside in the house she had first purchased with Gordy in 1963.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Bernice Becraft, her husband Gordon, her sister, Janice Olson and half-sisters Jennifer McCutchen and Brenda Qual, and her daughter in-law, Maria Hauck. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie (Jim) Harris, and her two sons, Jeffrey Hauck and Curtis Hauck, as well as 7 grandchildren, Christopher, Heather, Cherise, Andrea, Justin, Richard, and Michael, as well as her great-granddaughter, Marley. She is also survived by her sisters Linda and Geri, brother Tom, and close friend Del Lofling.

Donna was a loving wife and mother, raising her 3 children as a stay-at-home mother until their later school years, always involved in their personal growth, friends, and extra-curricular activities. Over the years, Donna had worked at JC Penney, Bon Marche, and Key Bank, as well as volunteering with the American Cancer Society at Providence Hospital.

In her later years she enjoyed traveling to such faraway places as Hong Kong, Italy, and many places in the States. She enjoyed gardening, socializing with friends, but most of all, she enjoyed doting on her grandchildren and great granddaughter. Even while far away, she always kept in touch, kept involved, and never missed a birthday.

The cherished memories and experiences, love and laughter, and the care she showed for our family, will be in our hearts forever.
