Bobby (Bob) Joe Brooks, age 68, of Lynnwood, WA, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, July 5th, 2023. He is now rejoicing with our Lord and Savior, and free from the pain his body struggled with for so many years.
Bobby was born September 1st, 1954, at Memorial Hospital in Modesto, CA. He was the youngest of seven children. Most of his life he resided in California with the last 10 years living in Washington State near his three daughters, four grandchildren, and a great grandchild arriving this November.
Faith was a big part of Bobby’s life. Raised a Christian by his parents, he lived his life loving the Lord and devoted to prayer and scripture, with Revelation 21:4 being one he loved – “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”
Bobby had a big gentle and kind heart, always lending love and support to his family. He was a loving father and doting grandpa and enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. He had a fun and goofy side to him, and we loved to hear him sing old songs aloud. His pastimes included fishing, woodcarving, collecting knives, and vintage cars.
Bobby is preceded in death by his father and mother, Arnold and Bessie Brooks; his brother Alfred Brooks and sisters Nellie Minnus and Dorothy Klug. He is survived by his sisters Linda (Leonard) Sansom, Arnedis Brooks, and brother Jimmy (Juanita) Brooks; his daughters, Tiffani Brooks, Gina Brooks, and Dena (Kennet) Dencker; and grandchildren, Alyssa, Payten, Zoey, Jacob, and Kailyann; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at a date to be determined by his daughters.
We welcome you to share on the site any fond memories or pictures you may have of Bobby. Thank you.
