Barbara was born to LaVoun (Tonner) and Charles Dean Falwell on August 6, 1934 in Medford, Oregon.
Barbara and her husband, Bud, celebrated their 41st anniversary on June 13th.
She was an engineer with GTE in Everett for 22 years and retired in 1990. After her retirement she and Bud became full time RVer's and after snowbirding for a few years, settled in Yuma in 2006.
Barbara enjoyed playing canasta, dancing, Swedish weaving, reading and beating her children and grandchildren at Skipbo. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her family at family gatherings.
She will be remembered for her awesome enchiladas. The secret is in the cheese!
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ed Tenney; and her son, Craig Hays.
She is survived by her loving husband, Bud; daughters, Teresa (Mike) Schultz, of Everett, Patti (Peter) Davis, of Shoreline, WA, Cindy (Robert) Allred, of Marysville, WA, Vicki (Dave) Petterson, of Marysville, Stacie Hays, of Seattle, WA; and sons, Ed (Katie) Tenney, of Snohomish, WA, Kirk (Diana) Hays, of Bellevue, WA, and Kevin (Tammi) Hays, of Sacramento, CA; and her sister, Elaine (Carlos) VanVleet, of Corvallis, OR. Barbara also leaves 25 grandchildren and 18 great- grandchildren along with her cousins and nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 1, at Purdy & Walters with Cassidy, 1702 Pacific Ave., Everett, WA. Viewing from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, September 30 at the funeral home.
