William "Billy" Waters

William “Billy” W. Waters, 75, passed away Sunday, March 7, 2021 at home with family. Billy served in the US Army as a Ranger in Vietnam where he received the Bronze Star Medal for Valor. He was an avid skydiver with over 3,500 jumps. Billy was close to his Ranger and skydiver buddies. He retired as a draftsman from George Koch Sons. William was preceded in death by his son, Aaron Waters; parents, Bill and Ellen Waters. He is survived by his daughter, Sonia Waters, husband, Chris Chrockrem; sister; Barbara, husband Albert; nephews and nieces, Steven, Karen, Susie, Christine, Chris, Ellen and William. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Alexander Memorial Park Heritage Chapel with live streaming at www.facebook.com/FuneralStreamUSA. Friends may visit 10:00 a.m. until service time. Retired Veterans Memorial Club of Vanderburgh County to perform Military Honors. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Billy Waters Memorial Fund to assist with funeral and cemetery expense in care of Alexander West Chapel.
