Wanda Karn

Wanda Karn, formerly of Evansville, Indiana passed away Sunday, September 18, 2022 at Story Point Senior Living Community after a long illness. She was born February 20,1935 in Evansville, Indiana. Wanda Karn was a graduate of Bosse High School, class of 1953. She was a skilled seamstress making clothes for her daughters and granddaughters. She also loved to read, make crafts and enjoyed the company of her dog Keelee. Wanda worked in retail management for many years. She was an active member of Bethel United Church of Christ and volunteered at United Caring Services. Her husband of 57 years, Forrest Karn, preceded her in death in 2013. Wanda is survived by her daughters Kathy Carmichael of Centreville, VA, Sandy (Bill) Hodgen, of Fort Wayne, IN; son, Bryan Karn of St. Louis; granddaughters, Jennifer Carmichael Wright (Matt), Amanda Carmichael Warner (Matt), Katie Carmichael Atkinson (Alex), Haley Hodgen Okuley (Chris), Lindsey Hodgen Shannon (Brendan), and Lori Hodgen Moore (Tirrill); great granddaughters, Daphne Warner, Tabitha Warner, Brynn Shannon, and Georgia Moore. Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. Sam Buehrer. Friends may visit Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
