Virginia Mae (Corl) Qualls, age 84, passed away in her home on May 18, 2019 in Evansville, IN. She was born January 3,1935 in Saline, MI to the late Orren and Loretta (Kruger) Corl.
Virginia and her husband Harry “Bud” owned and operated the Lingle Drugstore and Stagecoach Inn in Lingle, WY. In Adrian MI, Virginia was a member of the Women’s Club, Garden Club, Bridge Club and a Volunteer at the local Bixby Hospital. In Evansville, she taught preschool at Keck Ave. Baptist Church and enjoyed working at Colonial Garden Center. After retirement, Virginia enjoyed Friday dinner outings with her friends.
She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed gardening, flower arranging, bird watching, painting, playing cards, listening to books, and watching movies.
She is proceeded in death by her parents; daughter Lisa Winch; and her husband Bud Qualls.
Virginia is survived by her two sisters Betty Clucas (Chuck) of FL, and Sandy Patterson (Bill) of Ann Arbor, MI; Daughters Leslie Hostetler (Greg) of Evansville, IN, Amy Klanac (Chris) of Clearwater, FL; grandchildren Courtney, Cody, Corey Hostetler (Sarah) of Evansville, IN, Hope Greer (Jason) of North Pole, AK, Grace Thorene of Duluth, MN; great-grandchildren Matthew, Adam and Jasmine.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 23, 2019, at Alexander Memorial Park, Heritage Chapel, officiated by Rev. John Duncan. Friends may visit Wednesday, May 22, 2019, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Road.
Memorial contributions may be made to Southern Care Hospice and Vanderburgh Humane Society. Condolences may be offered at www.AlexanderNorthChapel.com.
