Vickie (Combs) Baskett

Vickie (Combs) Baskett, 66, of Newburgh, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2013, at Deaconess Gateway. She was born in Evansville, to the late Harry and Mattie Combs. She was a member of Newburgh United Methodist Church. She was a proud founding member of ZTA Chapter at the University of Evansville. Vickie was preceded in death by her sister, Londa Volkman. She is survived by her daughter, Kara Baskett of Seattle, WA; son, Scott Baskett of Newburgh; sister, Alta Egan of New Harmony; and brother, Harry Combs of Seattle, WA. Services were 11:00 AM Monday, February 4, 2013, at Alexander North Chapel, officiated by Pastor Chris Nunley, with entombment in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends visited Sunday from 1:00 to 5:00 PM and Monday from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
