Shirley Ann Floyd, 88, of Evansville, IN passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2024. She was born on August 4, 1936 in Evansville, IN to Charles and Mae (Meece) Harp.
Shirley loved playing Bingo and card games. She was a very good cook. She enjoyed time spent at family meals and gatherings, her game-shows, and time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Shirley loved her pets.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mae Harp; husband, J.R. Floyd, Jr.; and siblings, Charles, James, Mary Katherine, Harry, Betty, Francis, John, Rosalee, Martha and Ronnie.
Shirley is survived by her children, John Hunsaker Jr., Anna Lowe, Douglas Hunsaker Sr., Jerry Hunsaker, Robert Cawhorn and Ronald Nurrenbern; grandchildren, Lisa, Debra, John III, Tamara, Ray Anne, James, Jeramie, Kristina, Douglas Jr. and Brianna; great-grandchildren, Devon, Ethan, Madison, Wesson, Alyssa, Heaven, J.J., Xavier, Jamieson, Bentley, Summer, Dalton, Madison, Tyler, Mia, Maci, Raven, John Popp Jr., Dillon, Montquale, Aireon, Lillie, Trinity, John IV, Nautica, Neveaha, Ky, Travis and Quinten; and eight (8) great-great-grandchildren; and her sister, Carolyn Robb.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois Street, Evansville, IN. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery.
