Robert A Childs

Robert Alan Childs, 57, was born on March 13, 1964 in Evansville, IN. He left us much too soon on September 14, 2021. He graduated from Central High School in 1982. He enjoyed Nascar Racing, camping, fishing, watching anything to do with history on YouTube, and spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife and love of his life, Lia Childs; his parents, Barry and Dorothea Childs; uncle, Robert Maienschein; aunt, Karen Blissett; cousin, Kenny Blissett; and niece, Cristy Childs. He is survived by his brother, Thomas Childs of Chandler; sisters, Cheryl (Tom) Coburn of Salina, KS and Elizabeth Embry of Evansville; two step-children, Mark and Carolyn Oldham, both of Evansville; uncle, Mike Blissett of Rockport; six nephews; two nieces; and twelve great nieces and nephews. Rob will be forever in the hearts of his family. He touched the lives of many people. These include very special friends, Mark Walker, Randy Johnson, Jay Thornburg, and Dominique Barbry, all of Evansville; and his former brother-in-law, Tony Embry of Fort Branch. Arrangements are being handled by Alexander West Chapel and a small graveside service for family and friends will be scheduled at a later date.
