He served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He was a lifetime member of VFW post 1114 and also a member of the Owls. Richard was an offset press operator at Keller Crescent for 47 years. He was a member of St. Matthews Community Church, an avid golfer for many years and volunteered at the Tri State Food Bank after he retired and was once awarded Indiana’s most volunteering citizen of the year.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years Joann (Martin) Wallace; parents Herman and Etta Wallace.
Richard is survived by his son, Gregory Wallace (Elizabeth); grandchildren, Megan Arison (Zack), Clint Pruden (Stacey); great grandchildren, Alana Horstketter, Keats Pruden; brother, William “Bill” Wallace.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 15, 2019 at Alexander Memorial Park Chapel of Remembrance. Friends may visit 10 a.m. until service time at the chapel.
