Philip Robert Jamison, 80, of Evansville went to be with his Lord and savior on July 8, 2023. He was born May 20, 1943, to the late Donald and Bernice Jamison. Phil graduated from Naperville Community High School in 1961. He was active in band, diving, tennis and dance. He attended North Central College in Naperville, IL. Phil owned and operated the Tell City Pretzel Company in the 1980’s. He was also employed as a claims adjuster for Liberty Mutual and worked at the Evansville State Hospital for 14 years and Maxim Healthcare Services for 14 years. He was a 50-year member of The Methodist Temple. Phil loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He coached many sports teams when his children were growing up, including baseball, football and soccer. He had a kind heart, loved animals and had various dogs and cats through the years. He also enjoyed music, landscaping, gardening and collecting historical items such as things from the Civil War. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Bernice Jamison; brother, Richard Jamison; sister-in-law, Penny Jamison; and son, Scott Jamison. Phil is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Suzanne; sons, Mark (Cory) and Eric (Cindy); daughter, Kelli; grandchildren, Jennifer Hodge, Daren Mitchner Jr., Haydon Jamison, Josie Jamison, Hannah Jamison, Sophia Jamison, Luke Rausch and Jake Rausch; five great grandchildren; and niece, Heather Mortell. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 2, 2023 at The Methodist Temple. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Methodist Temple or Vanderburgh Humane Society.
