Patricia Schneider

Patricia Schneider, 86, of Evansville passed away Monday March 21, 2022. She was born September 1, 1935 in Chicago, IL to the late Robert and Beatrice (Moeller) Moore. Patt grew up in Quincy, IL in a castle named Villa Kathrine that overlooked the Mississippi River. She sang in the Evansville Philharmonic Choir and church choir. She loved playing the piano and was an avid reader. Patt enjoyed studying the Bible and knew it cover to cover. She was a member of Salem Church of Darmstadt. Patt married her husband, Jim, after a whirlwind romance that started when he was playing with the Ray Anthony Orchestra. Patt’s sister was singing with the group at the time as well, and arranged for Patt to meet Jim in California. They were married in the Little Church Around the Corner in downtown Manhattan in 1954. Patt was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Jim Schneider; parents; sisters, Marilyn and Priscilla; and brother, Robert. She is survived by her son, Jay S. Schneider (Teresa); granddaughter, Katie Omohundro (Clint); niece, Kelly O’Hanrahan; great-grandchildren, Silas and Miriam Omohundro; step-granddaughter, Lynzi Healy, and her daughter, Lola Baumgart. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday March 26, 2022 at Salem Church of Darmstadt, with burial in St. Paul’s German Township Cemetery.
