Patricia "Pat" Benson

Patricia “Pat” Benson, 86, of Evansville, IN passed away Monday, May 4, 2020. She joins her forever love and husband, the late Lloyd Benson, to continue their 64- year journey together. She was born on October 4, 1933 to the late William “Ed” Schutzius and Mona (Cotton) Schutzius. Patricia worked for several years at Associates Loan Company until 1968, when she decided to become a full-time homemaker. Later, she became the bookkeeper/ accountant for the family business, Benson Welding Repair. Patricia’s long-time interests included growing roses, gardening, canning, reading and history. But, the absolute gleam in her eyes was spending time with her grandson for the past 14 years, Jerrod Benson. Patricia is survived by her son, Brien Benson; grandson Jerrod Benson; several cousins from Chicago, IL, and Troy, IN, including Kerry (Schutzius) Kleeman who was by her side when she passed. A prayer service will be held 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 9, 2020 at Alexander Memorial Park - Heritage Chapel, officiated by Father John Brosmer.
