Norma Jean Lauderdale (Sharp), age 85, of Evansville, IN, passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at the Linda E. White Hospice House. Norma was born on November 3, 1939, in Daviess County, KY, to Jesse Bud Sharp and Mary (Hunter) Sharp.
Norma was a wonderful, loving, and caring mother, wife, grandma, and sister. She retired as a hairdresser from JC Penney’s. Norma lived in Evansville until she moved to Owensboro to care for her mother. In the last couple of years, she returned to Evansville to live with her daughter. While in Evansville, she attended Northwood's Baptist Church when her health allowed.
Norma enjoyed spending time outdoors in the summer, working in her yard, planting flowers, or simply relaxing by the fire. She loved playing dice games and cards. She is survived by her daughter, Becky Carroll (Gary) of Evansville, IN; son, Bruce Winstead (Michele) of Rockport, IN; daughter, Tammy Hayden (Barry Staves) of Owensboro, KY; nine grandchildren: Jeremy Carroll (Amber), Rodney Carroll (Jesse), Brent Carroll, Victoria Winstead, Ciara Winstead, Keisha Niles, Drew Hayden, Jesica Sanders (Andrew), and Stephanie Hayden (Mitchell Boggs); twenty-one great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; brother, Darrel Sharp (Teresa) of Albuquerque, NM; sisters-in-law, Annette Sharp and Barbara Winstead of Owensboro, KY; and a close dear friend, Travis Combs of Clay, KY.
Norma is preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Bud Sharp and Mary Hunter Sharp; her son, Randy Lee Winstead; her brother, Gary Lee Sharp; her sister, Sheryl Darlene Sharp; and her great-grandson, Daylin Niles.
