Nona Jo (Scott) Lewis

Nona Jo (Scott) Lewis, 69, of Henderson, Kentucky, passed away Friday, May11, 2018 at St. Anthony’s - Lucy Smith King Hospice Unit, Henderson, Kentucky. She was born October 28, 1948 in Evansville, Indiana. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis were foster parents for many years. Nona Jo was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend. She would help anyone in need. She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Lewis; sisters, Joyce Martin and Sandra Grey; and parents, father, Ruben Scott and mother, Jeanette Scott. Nona is survived by her daughters, Tammy Lewis Oettle, Donna K. Lewis Carlton (Randy) and Sue Evans; grandchildren, Andrew Oettle, Diamond Carlton, Jolene Carlton, and Lindsey Beavers; brothers, Ruben “Butch” Scott, Robert “Bob” Scott and Ronnie Scott; sister, Kae Dennis; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:30 PM Monday, May 21, 2018, at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Monday from 9:30 AM until service time at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be offered to the American Lung Association.
