Michael Wayne Allen

Michael Wayne Allen, 63, of Madisonville, Kentucky, passed away Friday, April 19, 2024, at his home. He was born May 30, 1960 in Evansville, IN to the late Denford Thomas and Audrey Mae (Vincent) Allen. Michael was the first in his family to graduate college in 1992 and became a Journeyman Welder. He was a Baptist, Christian. He loved hunting, fishing, football, basketball, and welding. He was President of Union # 848 for ten-plus years. Michael loved to join his brothers for Dirt Track Car Races and Demolition Derbies. He loved pranks/jokes and loved to “get” everyone and make them laugh. Michael was a proud American and supported “Made in America” merchandise and businesses. He was a devoted Candy Crush player. He loved helping anyone who needed it and was always there for family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Linda Myers, Robert Allen, Alan D. Allen, Brenda Vaughn, Naomi Spurling, Debbie Kensell and Dorothy Moore. Michael is the youngest of 14 children, and is survived by his wife, Charlene Allen (Fenwick); children, Amanda Allen and NaTosha Allen (Joseph Lofton); grandchildren, Daleante Allen, Alexis Moore, Joseph Lofton Jr., Jacoby Lofton, Kahalil Coleman, and Lexianna; godchildren, Tiffany, Aaron and Andrew Clark; siblings, Gerald Allen, Danny Allen, Glenda Vaughn, Betty Masterson, Bessie Smith and Judy Salas; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that helped make a happy fulfilled life! A funeral service will be held at Noon on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois Street in Evansville officiated by Reverend Ron Vaughn. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
