 Obituario de Mary Lou Robinson
On April 15, 2011, God called Mary Louise (Mary Lou) Robinson to join His Kingdom. Mary Lou was born December 1, 1923, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She lived most of her life in Evansville and Newburgh, Indiana. She married James (Jim) Erwin Robinson on June 26, 1943 in Memphis, Tennessee where Jim was stationed with the US Navy during WWII. At the time of her death, Mary Lou and Jim lived in Overland Park, Kansas. She was a member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church in Evansville. Mary Lou was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and was active in service organizations while residing in Indiana. She taught Sunday school and was a Brownie Scout leader. Mary Lou enjoyed cooking, bowling and golfing and was a former member of Rolling Hills Country Club and Evansville Kennel Club. Mary Lou is survived by her loving husband; daughters, Cheryl Ferguson of Overland Park, Patricia Pitney (husband John) of Overland Park; a grandson, Paul (wife Christina) and two great-grandsons of Wildwood, Missouri; two sisters-in-law, a brother-in-law; several nieces and nephews; and her dear cousins. As an adult, she was united with two half-sisters and a half-brother who were a joy to her. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, and three brothers. Services will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue, Evansville, Indiana, with Dr. Dennis Davenport, pastor of Eastminster Presbyterian Church, presiding. Burial will follow the service at Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. The family requests donations are made in lieu of flowers to St. Luke's Health System Hospice, Kansas City, Missouri or the American Heart Association.
