Mary Jo was a dedicated homemaker raising five children. She taught piano for over 40 years and played at her hometown church in Jasper, Indiana. Mary Jo was a faithful Christian who loved the Lord and teaching bible studies and sharing Jesus with others. She felt blessed even when being diagnosed with cancer. Mary Jo was strong-willed, and known to be a fighter. She successfully beat cancer several times before.
She enjoyed crafts for many years, and her latest interest was diamond art. She loved ice cream, popsicles and chocolate kisses. Mary Jo liked traveling to a variety of places, including her favorite destination of Hawaii, which she visited twice.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Aaron Lutz.
She is survived by her children, Debbie and Mark Feller of Evansville, IN, Carolyn and JC Chappell of Monrovia, IN, Marilyn and Gregg Demont of Newburgh, IN, Sandy and Roy McClure of Buford, GA, and David Rowlett of Evansville, IN; grandchildren, Christopher Feller (Melissa), Shawn Seng (Steve), April Downey (Jason), Kathy Williams (Rick), Kim Dalton (Wayne), Brian Feller (Ericka), Michelle Feller, Danielle Wilson (Mike), Justin Chappell, Tyler Chappell, Candace Merritt, Dustin Maasberg and Madison McClure; 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Mary Jo's funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 27, 2023, at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue in Evansville and officiated by Pastor Rod Hoschouer.
The funeral will be live-streamed beginning at 10:50 a.m. at www.facebook.com/FuneralStreamUSA
Burial will follow at Park Lawn Cemetery.
Friends may visit on Thursday, October 26, 2023, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Alexander East Chapel, and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
