Margaret was born in Evansville on August 5th, 1944. She graduated with a nursing degree and worked in several different areas at Welborn hospital, transferring to St. Mary’s (Ascension) until her retirement.
Although a nurse by profession, many people remember her as an avid quilt maker and a master with her sewing abilities, constantly making quilts and pillows and giving to friends, family, and donating to the less fortunate.
Others rave about her cooking, especially the various treats that she made in abundance during holidays, distributing to many as her way of making people smile.
While she was still able, she donated time and served on the board at the House of Bread and Peace. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, tending to her plants and garden flowers, and enjoying the simple pleasures in life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Patrick.
Margaret is survived by her children, Jeff, David, and Colin Williams; Grandchildren, Tyler, Michael, Jessica, and John.
Visitation and remembrance will be held from 4:00-7:00 pm on Sunday, December 8th at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Ave., Evansville, IN 47714.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Celebration Villa of Newburgh, The Evansville Protestant home, and Linda White Hospice for their excellent care and compassion.
Condolences may be offered at www.AlexanderEastChapel.com.
