Malachi Copeland

Malachi KeShae’ Copeland, 6, of Evansville, passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2022. He was born on October 3, 2015 in Newburgh. He was very athletic and loved football, basketball, skateboarding, riding his bike and being outdoors. There was nothing in this world that he loved more than his Paw Paw. Malachi was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, W.B. and Daisy Fleming; and Margaret Joyce. He is survived by his mother, Marika Copeland; father, George Whitney; brother, Major Harrell; grandparents, Terry and Sherry Lester; grandmother, Joann Murry; aunts, Brittany Lester, Korey Lester, and Joanna Whitney; cousins, Brielle Momon, Brayden Boone, Gavin Boone, Maxwell Dixon, and many many more; and his best friends, Keiadrein Davis, Jordan Flemming, and JyAir Boyd.. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at Memorial Baptist Church with Pastor Timothy Simmons, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the church.
