She was a graduate of Bosse High School and attended Evansville College. Lonna worked at IBM and Lazarus before becoming a full-time homemaker. She attended Christian Fellowship Church. Lonna was beautiful, loving, loyal, and dependable. She enjoyed fishing, writing poetry, and planning every family event. Her greatest joy was raising her children and grandchildren.
Lonna was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Angela Pickens; brother, Tom Muth; and sisters, Elaine Schmitz and Janie Pelikan.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, James Pickens; daughters, Jennifer Spaulding and Lindsey Pickens (Matthew Frankic); grandchildren, Taylor Spaulding, Madilyn Pritchett, Cayden Purl, Lucy Tieken, Isabel Tieken, and Phineas Tieken; great-grandchildren, Alonna Gayle Montgomery and Autumn Rain Spaulding; brother, Victor Muth (Pat); sister, Joanne Gerling; brother-in-law, John Pickens; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Alexander East Chapel with Pastor Alan Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
